Having fun with Photoshop

Since I work mostly with vector illustration, I decided to do something different to update my portfolio and do some educational illustration for kids in PS using textured brushes. In this piece I was inspired by one of my favorite illustrators from my childhood named Alain Grée. I love the pastel/ chalk look of these brushes, which is difficult to achieve in Illustrator... It felt good to get away from the technicality of vectors for a while and not be so perfectionist in my painting. I'm also learning PS vectors from my hubby Sean, who is an expert in the matter and does some really cool tricks!  ;)

Here's a sneak peek of the illustrations for the "Supermarket" story, me and Sean worked on it together, as usual. Can't thank him enough for all the help he's provided on the BGs! :)
